What is Tense ?
In a simple language we can say that tense is a form of verb which tells about time or in other way the meaning of tense is time . This time shows that what is happening in Present , What has happened in Past or What will be happen in future so directly the word tense tells about the time according to Present , Past and Future. Â
Types of Tenses
As we have already discussed above that Tense tells about time according to the Present , and Future . So that is why it has three types as given below .
- Present Tense
- Past TenseÂ
- Future TenseÂ
Above given types are further divided into four sub parts of types which are given below .

- ContinuousÂ
- PerfectÂ
- Perfect ContinuousÂ
According to above given sub parts of three tenses we can say that total number of tenses are twelve . Four of Present Tense .Four of Past tense and Four of Future Tense as Given below .

Above all are 12 tense according to which we speaks , we writes , We listen and We read .
